The project focused on creating a distinct product identity aligned with the company’s core values. The company is an innovation-driven organization with a unique patented technology — a miniature electron microscope. Their strength lies in delivering high-quality results in a sterile, controlled environment, using a dust-free chamber to release the electron beam and achieve outputs that few others can.
After the company completed their brand book and website branding, we joined the process to translate the brand’s essence into the physical product. We designed the hardware itself, emphasizing the user experience: operational flow, lab integration, transparency to expose internal mechanisms, and the sample loading process — all reflecting the product’s precision and technological edge.

inspiration
Our research process involved a comprehensive review of products from parallel verticals to derive inspiration and refine our product's core values. We established core principles of clarity, rapid operation, and high reliability to 'elevate the ritual' of the testing process. Our design fuses symmetry with intelligent functionality, featuring visual transparency and stationary-to-mobile versatility. Crucially, we ensure process sterility via a protected internal cavity designed specifically for rigorous, element-rich workspaces.

The chosen design features a distinct three-tiered structure: a robust technical base, a transparent 'terrace' that highlights the testing process, and a sleek top casing that conceals internal components to eliminate visual noise. This architecture focuses the viewer on the essence of the operation—the test itself—while ensuring visual tranquility and easy access for maintenance.
